Default Brake Rotors Rusted?

All four of my brake rotors appear to be rusted and it looks terrible... Has anyone experienced this? Is this normal? My 2022 Defender has less than 4k miles on it.

That's perfectly normal. They are steel rotors and as such will get rust. Usually happens after washing or a rain. As soon as you use the brakes they'll be shiny and clean looking.

Thanks for your response. I drove for about 20 minutes yesterday and saw only a slight improvement. Do I need to drive more?

I drove in the snow and salt and parked it for two weeks in the airport for vacation. Imagine my horror when I saw the rear rotors. looks worse than yours.

Wow, thanks for the response... Is there a way to clean them or will they clean themselves when I drive?

Rusted rotors after sitting for awhile is completely normal. Happens all the time and nothing to worry about. Cleans right up once you start driving again

they do clean themselves but the rust embedes into the groves so not all the rust goes away. the defender rotors are worst i have seen

I agree, the rust is worse than normal and previous LR products. My guess is they used cheaper rotors or didn't paint in the same places.
