Can’t select media on PIVI
#11
I’ve had the same issue as described - all audio disappears, CarPlay, sensors, etc. for me, the fix is to reset PIVI (in park, hold down the button). I have discovered that to avoid the issue all together, I just have to disable wireless CarPlay. As long as I plug directly in using USB, I don’t get the issue.

Today at lunch I got a little "i" next to my profile icon so I clicked on it expecting to see an update. Instead it was a warning that said that rear braking assist was not available when towing. I haven't had a trailer hooked up for 6 days. Not sure why it picked today to tell me that random factoid.
Quite the character this Defender is. Certainly is developing a personality.

I’ve done multiple resets and no luck. Everything is still out.

Thanks for following up with some closure. I wonder if the gap tool would have cleared the codes or reset the error.
Good call on just living with it since you were in the sticks. Especially when with a spouse. Alone I might have done the battery trick, but with others it was a good call to just sing to yourself and make it out in one piece.
