Do you guys know when the "Exterior Protection Pack" which should be the classic mudflaps are made on a factory order - are these fitted at the factory / port or the dealer will install them during the ppi ?

I have a D90 on order and this was one of my chosen options.

I asked 2 different dealers this question. I ordered Mudflaps, Side step rails and Extended wheel arches. One dealer said they were installed at the factory. The other dealer said they would be installed at the Port and if they didn't have parts there then they would be installed at the dealer. Not sure what the correct answer is but I wished they were installed at the factory so they wouldn't have to "undo" stuff.

 

Thank you for that information, looks like it could happen at any stage in the delivery process. I guess I will find out soon.

 

All I know is , I luv the look of my mud flaps! Let alone the protection they add.
