Default Clearsight Mirror at night

I've read lots of critique on this camera, and I generally like the feature. But at night when there are cars with headlights on behind me, esp in drizzle or inclement weather, I cannot see much of anything from my clear sight rear view mirror screen (I can confirm my lens is clean / has been cleaned). It's very blown out, just big white orbs where the cars' headlights are -- out of focus.

Anyone else ? I'm wondering if there's a camera issue or something else. It is surprisingly bad. I don't remember noticing this when I first got the Defender, but then again, I probably didn't drive it at night much.

I exclusively use the Clearsight Mirror at night, I find that it makes car headlights behind me much less distracting. No issues with the video being blown out.

My dealer was pretty good on this one. They have ordered a replacement, but waiting times are 2 month +.
I would update when that replacement arrives (if ever ... ).
On why so many people don't complain about it ? Perception, I assume.
I am extra picky when it comes to gadgetry and details. Some people may be content with the fact that it works, some (like me) will have to see this working perfect. No idea, not judging.
Bottom line is that I am unhappy with it. Works ok during daytime, but at night is crap.

I concur. not the best especially since we know that the technology is there (clarity of cameras and processing) I feel it is an inferior lens.
