Agreed... the Honeybadger is fun to shoot , but its not an everyday carry gun. I just recently got an Ed Brown KC9. Its a 9mm in a 1911 body. I never wanted to carry. Way too much responsibility and very uncomfortable as in Illinois, its concealed only. I decided to arm up because of the insane levels of crime that plagues where I live (Chicago) and is cropping up pretty much everywhere.

I have heard excellent things about the Honey Badgers. It's almost like it's taunting me into ordering but they're harder to get than a Defender right about now.

I think they were harder a few months ago. They are amazing. I definitely recommend it. I was lucky to find one at https://www.goarmorup.com, and they sold it to me for like $100 over list! If you try and order from liveqordie, its like 15 months back order.

I would *really* like though, to see some pics of locking storage options for the Defender. It's the most woefully inadequate vehicle, in terms of storage, that I've ever seen.

The complete lack of politics here is delightful and the Baldwin shot (no pun intended) was more a commentary on the irony that the loudest voices in these debates are often the least knowledgeable
I appreciate your comment/response. That is a definite example of intelligent discourse, which is all anyone would seek and expect. I meant no disrespect, only to keep these forum discussions on track. We are all drowning in political noise and come here to share a common thread and be somewhat united in it. Allegedly, I have read and followed your posts for the past year, and find your knowledge and help with some of our common issues to be an asset to the Defender community. We all strive to contribute, learn and share our findings with others.

We wouldn't question someone asking about the best way to carry skis. "Tough-guy thinks sports make him look like a big man". Or someone asking for a recommendation for a jack. "Oh, macho guy wants to flex and pose with his big muscles on the trail".

A responsible gun owner wants to discuss the best safe storage option and you feel the need to drag the conversation into the mud. To what end? Shouldn't we be encouraging safe handling? Remember; guns don't kill people, Alec Baldwin does. And I say that because it's relevant here. Open conversation furthers knowledge and encourages responsibility. This prevents accidents.
Actually, I was the one who asked the question. It was out of genuine curiosity, which I assume is allowed on the forum. I’ve asked similar questions about why someone has chosen a particular piece of kit for their Defender, but it didn’t seem to raise the same hackles. I get why someone wants a fridge or an expedition rack, but I come from a place where even seeing a gun not in the hands of a police officer is almost unheard of. I just wanted to know whether it was something that people needed to carry wherever you are from because it was dangerous or whether it was just the cultural norm or used because of animals (the way our farmers use rifles). But I didn’t intend for it to descend into political bickering. So my apologies.

No apologies needed, Simon14. Actually I apologize for my knee jerk reaction. My area is one of recent tragedies, with many deaths of children in schools. I guess I just wanted to head off any misdirection of your original question going off track into a thread of choices of weaponry and a stream of pictures of peoples choices of self defense firearms. Often in a post on a certain Defender topic, it can tend to go off thread and someone will ask that the replies be focused on the original topic at hand. That was only my intent, no disrespect meant.

I can only tell you my personal experience living in the US all my life. It's exactly like Pulp Fiction.

Thanks.
I use a Valutek VT Essential (no bluetooth)... it is extremely secure. If you are traveling with a handgun in your car, you cannot leave your side arm unsecured.

Good luck!
