I have a 110 on the way. Delivery expected in January. I'm already looking at tire options. After combing the forums (as you know, tons of threads on tires) and Google, I'm leaning toward Cooper AT3 4S or XLT (275/55/20), but hoping to get more guidance from the community on these specific tires. I have a lot to learn!
I've seen mostly positive reviews from the community regarding Cooper AT3 4S (a good combo AT for road and non-serious off road), but not much on XLT. Does anyone have experience with XLT? Any reason to stay away from XLT? I'm mostly a road driver with occasional off road, so seems like 4S makes the most sense, but I love the more aggressive look of the XLT. If the reviews are right that the XLT tires are relatively quiet and a comfortable ride, why not go with the more aggressive XLT?
There is at least one thread discussing 4S with spacers and / or offsets. I would like to simply swap out the OEM Perilli tires with the 4S or XLT tires, which would be 275/55/20. Are spacers / offsets really necessary? Any downside (aesthetically or operationally) not using spacers / offsets? I'm struggling in this area.
Should I expect any rubbing with 4S or XLT? I've seen one thread discussing 4S with +20 offset, which resulted in some rubbing only at access height. I'm thinking the rubbing is due to the offset. Could that be? If so, depending on answers to no. 2 above, I could maybe avoid rubbing by avoiding offsets. I'm I thinking about this right?
Thanks in advance! I appreciate the guidance and patience.
I have had the Coopers for my winter tire options for a year now. They drive well and work well in the snow. Another plus, not very noisy. Cooper does offer a veteran discount, if that helps.

I have had both. Replaced the Pirellis with AT3 4S and loved them. 275/55/20 fit with no spacers, although I have coils. Tires rode excellent, quiet, and managed a light air down to 22 well. A bit heavier than Pirellis so slight impact on mileage. I cannot be more objective about that since it was all done in early miles, less rhan 5k, so breaking in both driver and truck. Then lifted truck with a coil lift and put on 34''s, no spacers. Bought extra wheels and dedicated off road tires, but also wanted 34's for my road tire set, so I bought the XLT. They ride great, quiet, and we have a couple 2k road trips on them and love them also. BUT, I prefer the AT34S for road tires from our experience and we can tell they are lighter. Would have picked them but didn't have the new size we needed. If only one set, then XLT has better sidewall and strength. Very happy with both. Only other comment is that we have two road hazards, one with each, and the heavier casing of the XLT made a difference between slow leak or not. but pretty subjective on that.
I owned a 5th gen Toyota 4Runner for 5 years/100K miles and ran two sets of Cooper AT3 on it. It is an incredible tire, suitable for every use -- on road/commuting as well as most off-road use you might encounter. Looks cool too.
If you don't go with the Cooper, the next tire I'd consider is the BFG A/T KO2. The 5th gen of this tire is amazing; possibly perfect.
I thought I’d update with what I decided. I got a bit lucky with the timing. Cooper recently replaced the AT3 4S with the Discoverer Road+Trail AT. That’s what I went with and am very happy. Looks better than the 4S, in my opinion, and rides great.
Not what you’re looking for but I went with the more aggressive RT tire, the Discoverer Rugged Trek. But I have two sets of wheels/tires and put the 18” RTs on when going out west for off-roading trips, or wanting to look particularly cool for awhile, and the OEM Goodyears (on 20” wheels) back on for most of regular life. I’m driving to Utah next week and went ahead and mounted the RTs a couple weeks ago, forgetting we had to drive 8 hours to FLA to visit in-laws before I’m off to Moab. I left them on, drove down with the missuz, and she never noticed anything amiss. I did hear the slight tire noise that’s not audible with the GYs, but it is really low. No regrets there, but if you want the quietest and smoothest, OEM is the best.

What kind of jack are you using to swap out the tires with the air suspension? And is there a trick to get it done quickly?

No rubbing or issues going up to the 275/55/20? The reviews are great on the Road+Trail AT
