I will be doing a lot of snow driving over icy roads in MI and so left off the e-diff because of tires. In retrospect, tires can be changed but I cannot add the e-diff on my car.
Hah. This is my logic, too -- my build has the e-diff in for just that reason (well, off-road package). I'm trying to keep it 'affordable', which means P300, cloth seats, and no fancy memory adjustable stuff. Luckily my rugby days are long ago and far away and most of my damage is high speed impact from racing motorcycles and being smashed off a bicycle by a car. So far less in the back and more in the ankles hips, knees, shoulders, elbows, and skull.

I'm insistent on the white roof, which is a totally frivolous expense, though. Go figure! (No sunroof. Hate the bloody things)

My current crisis is the Meridian Sound system or not. First World Problems?

The build I have for the 2021 is a color option (tasman blue or black), signature lights, heated seats, comfort and convenience pack, offroad pack, and advanced off road capability pack. At that, I'm showing 57,100 which isn't bad at all and likely what I'll go with.

I hear ya, I keep coming back to the blacked out roof with the hakuba silver paint and black pack on it, 1k for a black roof, such vanity... lol I guess we're lucky we can even consider it. I agree with others on cost, sure I could push another $400 extra into a car payment if push comes to shove but it reaches a point where it's not so wise, just drawing a line in the sand and trying to stick to it. I'm excited about the defender but we'll see how it goes, if I get fed up I may end up punting myself into a bronco sport badlands loaded for 40k. It's just a daily driver for a few years. I'd love a defender but I can still come back in three years, by then I'll be done with the child support thing, in New York state you pay until they're 21 believe it or not. Brutal.... It's almost an incentive for these ladies to call it quits.

I've got a few more things colour and roof, off-road and towing pack, cold comfort pack and heated seats, signature lights, wheel arches and so on. About 5k more it seems, since I'm right at 62k. It keeps creeping up. I can't abide spending this much, but I really love the Landy, dammit.

My wife’s Dico Sport has the analog with small info digital piece and I am sure while either would have worked for me the digital is really nice. I now run in full map on the driver side. All warnings and statutes symbols are arranged nicely around the map and I find I really like it. With an automatic I really don’t need rpm for most driving. With the digital you can have a central gage with info on each side which I believe is brilliant for off roading. You would have RPM on the gage which is now important and digital speed in center of it which is only to know how slow you go. Place 4 wheel info to one side and you are in good shape. I leave the PIVI with favorite tiles showing.
Thanks for mentioning this, after some thought I will go with the full digital. For the life of me though I don't know why when you choose a single gauge in the middle that you can't add the side camera feeds to the left and right of it for better blind spot monitoring, It would make for unmatched blind spot awareness to have those there. Hyundai is doing it with some of their new models, I believe with their implementation if you put the signal on to merge then the video feed from the side you're merging into pops up. It's brilliant IMO and seems like a no brainer but oh well, maybe they can add it to the Defender as an over the air software update. I did add the clear sight rear view mirror to my build, to me that's a must have.

For those who are curious about Hyundai's implementation you can check that out here:

Did anyone get the jumpseat option? I was wondering if it can be removed and then be used as walk through? Thinking of my 90 build which is a two door it might be kind of neat to have the option of removing the jumpseat so my son could get into the front and then scoot through to the back without having to move the front seat forward every time. I'd be losing it as a middle armrest then so it would have a bit more of a cargo van feel but I might be ok with that actually.
