Default Cruise Control / Adaptive Cruise Control

When I am driving on the highway I typically slide into ECO mode. When in ECO mode if I try to engage cruise control it gives me an error. I can slide into comfort mode and engage cruise control. I can then slide back into ECO mode and start/stop cruise control.

Is this typical? I thought the system was not functioning at first until I thought that ECO might be disabling the cruise setting.

I haven’t had that issue, but I frequently forget to put it into ECO until I’m already on the highway. I’ll try today and see how mine works. I suspect that you have a SW glitch … I can’t imagine the intent is that you can’t use cruise control in ECO.

Ive determined that the adaptive cruise is not functioning for me all together. I can engage cruise in eco once I disable adaptive cruise by decreasing the distance limiter.

Does anyone know where the radar is for the adaptive cruise control?

I believe the ACC sensor is behind the Land Rover badge on the front or in the bar. Simon on a PowerfulUK video discusses it. If you have something blocking it you could be preventing the signal - after market bull bars, license plate, Christmas wreath, Texas long horns, etc mounted up front.

Otherwise it is a sensor or software defect. I suspect one of these two.

Do you have the active speed limiter (where the car will follow posted speed limits) turned on? I’ve found before that it’s difficult to get active cruise control to activate when it is. If it was, try turning it off and see if that helps.

Oh, @swajames may have nailed it. They reminded me why I needed to turn that off…
