Looks great! I have your Tasman Blue/White big brother. What size Rhino Rack weatherproof luggage bag is your’s, where did you get it, and how did you mount it to the Expedition rack?
Post pictures of big brother! I got the 12 cu/ft bag, got it from etrailer.com (they were great at providing information and measurements when I was purchasing).
The bag is secured to the rack via the eight straps it comes with, fairly straightforward.
Had not had a chance to report back. Your suggestion was golden. Did 5,000+ miles with your suggested arrangement and worked like a charm. I actually returned what I had bought from FrontRunner (to secure them to the roofrack) and will stay with this as my method to keep the MaxTrax. Saved me $$ and time. As usual the forums deliver. I'm so glad it worked out for you and put some money in your pocket. I run two like you do but I lost one the other day. So I used only one strap and the Maxtrax held perfect. In case you are in a pinch, one will do too.
I really like my full length Front Runner rack. So many mounting options and you don't have to reinvent or drill anything. Yeah, some options are more expensive but totally worth it. I have 2 tables that slide under the rack and store perfectly not taking up space in the vehicle or rattling around.
