Just put some on my RR, completely agree. Quiet and smooth!

Just put Blizzaks on yesterday. A great tyre although they're the only winter I've ever driven on. Best money you can spend on grip/safety for yourself and your passengers if you drive on snow/ice regularly.

Stoked for the season to come.

Put Cooper Evolution Winter tires on our Dll. Pretty happy with them; ride, positive grip in slushy/sloppy snow (especially while changing lanes or passing and you have to move out of ruts) and ice traction seem substantial. Plus, they are a bit more AT in style (slightly larger openings between lugs). But, have plenty of siping for what would be expected of a true winter tire.

Granted, l'm still not sure if they surpass the Brigdestone Blizzards that came off. However, as mentioned, they have wider openings...so...while off-roading or monkey-farting around in deep snow...they are substantial better than the Brigdestones.

Put tHe Blizzaks through their paces in some slushy muddy stuff today.

Plenty of grip in the snowy sections.

The blizzaks are great on ice. Have had them on a few cars, and still run them on an A4. Only problem is they tend to get noisy and have a drop in winter performance after just moderate tread wear. Used to be really bad because they had normal summer rubber under the winter outer tread. I see they changed that somewhat, so hopefully better now.

Any inputs and recommendations on them as well as any other tires will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I have bought 2023 defender 2 weeks ago. I asked for dealer to put Goodyear duratrac. These tyres are peace of **** in icy and about 1-10 cm snow. I ordered new continentals because I had some situations in duratrac, that I almost got crash several times. My defender was like cow on ice. Don’t buy these tyres in real winter

If you’re going to the trouble of having separate winter wheels for driving to ski areas, you should go with full snow tires, not 3 peak AT’s like the KO2’s. Full snow tires are much, much better on snow and especially icy roads than any 3 peak AT as the 3 peak designation does not even require testing on ice. Choices for winter tires are listed in the iGuide. I’ve always gone with Nokians, but I actually like the Scorpion winters better in most situations.

I have used these exclusively, but not on SUVs. However I also have not lived in a snowy climate since the 90s but these were wonderful.

These days the Nokians have the highest ratings from my research, something about the folks up in Finland being more experienced with snow than others

I live in Texas. Rarely does snow reach the central part where I live. If I were back in Va, I would DEFINITELY own a second set of snow tires. Highly recommended.

Last year I was lazy and didn't put the Nokians on before my first ski trip to VT in early December. I posted that driving the Defender with Goodyear Wrangler tires in slushy snow made it feel like a hippo on roller skates. I learned my lesson and have had the Nokian winter tires on since Thanksgiving this year. The best traction system in the world can't help you with braking or turning in slippery conditions.
