Default Ceramic coating

I had the ceramic coating done on my black Audi and had the 3m paint protector across the front and any other at more risk areas…I have to say it was worth every penny…it looks freshly waxed all the time and what little dirt that does stick washes off so easily, it truly does make a huge difference in the look and keeping it clean, and the 3M stuff doesn’t dull the shine at all…if garaged and you use the recommended wash and detailing stuff the ceramic coating is guaranteed for at least 6 years and the 3m is good for 7-10 years if garaged much less if not..!

UPDATE: Finally got my X-Dynamic back last week. They fixed the paint, which took some time to settle/dry, and then I installed the non-classic mudflaps (smaller ones) AND the side steps. If anyone's questioning whether just doing flaps and having the non-classic flaps vs. the bigger classic ones doing the job .... I'd have to say I'm about 85% certain. I've looked at the angles and I think they come down low enough. I had the side steps painted black at the body shop to blend with the rest of the car. You can see how far the side step comes out to pretty much guarantee now rocks will hit that angle (knock on wood). Again, only reason I invested in this feature is because my kids can now actually get into my car on their own. Otherwise, I'd probably not spend the $2k it cost for parts and labor. HOWEVER, if I were building one from the ground up....definitely worth the purchase.

Thanks for the update. Great to hear that they took care of this for you.

I think the mud flaps look awesome! They dont look out of place at all against the gloss finish.

Please keep us updated to if you get any more chips or not in the future.

here's mine with the classic mud flaps.... overall I'm happy with the aesthetic and confident the additional coverage will protect against paint chips.

Default Mud flaps and side steps!

Very nice..! It looks really good, hard to tell it wasn’t all factory…I have to say that the flaps you have look nothing like the ones that the shop showed me…yours are much darker than what they were going to do on mine, so much so they offered to paint them..! Do you by chance have the part number for the ones used on your DX. I’m going to show my service advisor the pictures of yours and see if he can find out about the color difference. I would gladly have those put on, but the ones that they were going to put on mine were literally the grayish color of the base Defender cladding, which you can imagine that against the high gloss black was just to far off in color…Really happy you got yours sorted, I hope you have nothing but happy driving days ahead..!

I installed the classic mudflaps on my 90 yesterday. Took about 4 hours to do it all carefully, but it was not difficult as long as you have the air suspension to raise - requires no wheel removal. Glad I saved the labor and got to know my new vehicle a little more- plus I know they were installed carefully!

Same...installed my classic mud flaps on my 110 yesterday. Set to offroad height and you're good to go.

I did have to visit my dealer for the dumb little grey clips that break when you remove the front wheelwell/rocker molding. Why LR doesn't just include 4 in the kit I'll never understand.
