Defender 110 2026
I am in Australia. I have owned 2 x P300 and currently have a 25.5 P400 that I think is great. I get a new one each year because I only do a few miles, and thinking of privately selling now with 2100km and never been on dirt. I'd like the new body "shape" but the 2026 model range has only the P425 and that is too expensive and evidently a fair time off actually reaching the showrooms. Question is; I saw on a USA site that there is continued interest for the P400 and the reason for their demise is a shortage of computer chips. The site also suggested that the P400 may come back on line once chips are in supply. Has anyone any knowledge of the P400 comeback?
You can still get the P400 in countries like America due to less strict emissions standards, however in countries like the UK and Australia they replaced it with the detuned V8 for compliance. I doubt it will be coming back, therefore. You can also get a D350 here, which I can strongly recommend.

In the US, maybe everywhere, the long standing Supercharged V8 is only now in the Defender for NAS Land Rovers. It's either smaller engines or the BMW 4.4 TT V8.
I've been wondering when the SC V8 will end and would love to get a 130 V8 before it's done.

Hi. I have the P400 and it is a geat car. I would buy again but not available. I am selling with 2200km because the new body will hit older body prices harder than normal. I am about to sell and maybe sit on cash until the V8. keep my wife happy, and we have 3 cars in the family. I think I will bow out of this thread. Thanks.

From what I've seen the 26 only has those flush tail lights and a couple pieces of plastic trim that look slightly different. I'm sure the aftermarket probably is already working on a retrofit kit to make < 26's look exactly the same.
I think we're only a few weeks away from people slapping Octa fenders on their P300's.
Point being, I don't think the changes in the 26 model year are going to precipitate a further depreciation knock on the previous model years. It's already pretty catastrophic as a luxury SUV.
