Default Defender 110 rear seats

Has anyone got tips on how to fold the rear seats flat? In my 5 seater defender 110, I removed the rear headrest, folded the bottom seats forward but there is still a very slight incline

Would removing the bottom seat cushion help?… though I can’t figure which screws to remove! Any tips would be appreciated!

Did you pull up on the bottom cushion before folding the seatback down? Also, you can leave the headrests in, just push the button on the side to fold the headrest down.

Technically you should remove the headrests. When you pull the seat cushion forward, there are cutouts for the metal bars for the headrests so you can fold the seats flat without potentially damaging them.

I agree, but I have found if I push the bottom cushion forward while dropping the seatback I have enough clearance from the D rings. I also push the bottom cushion forward for clarence when I raise the seatback. I know it's probably not how it was designed, but it has worked well enough.

yeah this is how I have mine setup at the moment, there is still a slight incline. Which was why I wonder if removing the bottom seat cushions will help.. i’m trying to build a platform to increase storage space

That's odd, mine folds completely flat on my 5-seat 110.

Maybe you need to move your front seats a bit more forward so your seat bottom can be placed in the fully upright position. My 2023 rear seats are pretty dang close to flat

2022 Defender 110 X-Dynamic SE 5-seater. Add me to the list of owners whose seats fold flat completely. Unless they changed something between my model year and current, my headrests do not need to be removed, I press the button and they spring into a folded down position. Would not want to wrestle them out every time I fold my seats down, which is frequently. As SilverSFR said, maybe the front seats need to be moved forward a bit more to accommodate.

I learned something new—thanks for the picture of how to store the headrests.

2025 here and the seats are different, the bottom cushions don't come up, and rears don't totally fold flat.
