Just started getting things together for offroad here in the Mountain West. Got the Lucky 8 Offroad rear brake caliper kit so I could install the 18" White Steel Wheels with General Grabber X3 265/70R18 tires bit of rubbing so had to have the Johnson Rods 1" lift with spacers now only a bit of rub in lowered access mode but none otherwise. Lucky 8 Offroad rear ladder fits great with factory expedition rack. Next will be the Land rover AU front Bull bar with skid plate and winch, can't wait really coming together. I think the First Edition would have been much better with the steel wheels but the rear calipers made that a non starter from the factory.
i really like the look of the proud rhino rear ladder but i am not too sure about its practicality being at the rear of the vehicle.
How practical is the proud rhino ladder? Can you reach to the front part of the roof rack while on the rear ladder?
Its funny, the First Editions have the retractable canvas top which you can stand up in through the factory expedition rack and secure everything pretty easy so a ladder isn't a must for me . If you are putting a ski box with a side entry the side ladder is much better but it also will block a huge part of the rear side window. The rear ladder doesn't make it very practical for the front of the rack but I just crawl on top of it if I need to, Weight limits be damned!!! I use the ladder to secure large dry bags and recovery stuff which is easily accessed from the rear ladder and the front can also be accessed by standing in the door jam pretty easily.
Nice… have you thought about the wheel arch kit for the coup de grâce?
I prefer the look of the normal wheel arches, especially with the wider track I've install with spacers. I love the front bull bar and completes the rig
