Default Defender 90 Toddler car seat recommendation

Hello All,

Hope all is well. I've picked up a Defender 90 last month, and put in the back seat the baby seat I bought for my son when he was born. Its a 360 model that can be rear facing and front facing, and covers from being born till they are a few years older. My son is now 2 years old and facing a few issues when putting him in the seat.

The child seat seat is too tall, I have to lift him almost till his head reaches the headliner in order to put him in the seat.
The child seat sits way too back, I have to stand sideways in an awkward position with half my body outside the car, and the other half in the car to put him in the car seat, or I have to go inside fully and put him in his seat.

Now I know the obvious answer is to get a 110. Its too big for my work parking, my wife also has a sedan, and we are getting a 3 row car in a few months before welcoming our 2nd child. So my kid(s) will not be in my car mainly, but sometimes I will have to take them in my car.

So are there any toddler car seats that are not too tall, and sit forward a bit so its easier to put my son in?

Thanks,

Based on the description, I'm guessing it's a seat that the base locks in and can then spin around? My wife wanted to go that route but I just saw them as too big and taking up too much space. Clek has some well deigned seats that may not be as tall. I like our Graco Slim fits, they don't rotate so they may not be as high up of a seat. I haven't tried putting my daughter into the third row of the 130, so none of this is from experience of something even remotely similar.

How much does the kid weigh?
I have one of these that I swap between cars...
Not sure I would use it every day - but it is rare that they use it and it is never for very long trips.
Great for travel too though since it is pretty portable - considering...just not sure if it will meet your requirement of sitting a little bit forward.
But not sure about availability in your country. I know we can't get Recaro car seats here in the US for some dumb reason.

Thanks for your response, I actually have a 360 one that spins currently, but its too bulky. My son is front facing now, I just need a toddler front facing seat that isn't too bulky or tall. I will check the Clek ones, thanks.

Thanks! my son is about 12 kilos or 26 pounds, the reason you would not use it is because of safety?
Will look into the Recaros as well.

Oh no, I am perfectly comfortable with its safety. I just don't think it is the most comfortable option for daily use.
My kids are used the the big puffy soft seats, this as you can see has minimal padding - but is not any less safe than their large seats.
