LoL. It looks like a short LR4 but I suppose that could change between now and the debut.

I have not seen any official pics, the first one I looked for now is a red vehicle. If that is what you are referring to, it looks more like a Rover than most of the newest Rovers. So the design does look older but I sorta prefer that.

Dimensions wise it looks very similar in size to a D4 which is a good thing and is the real successor as opposed to the D5.

I think it's the new generation Defender is nothing short of a disaster. LR should have held to the previous platform and made subtle improvements to it to include a NA US market compliant version. The previous generations were and will remain iconic vehicles in absence of viable lasting competition. I can't imagine the new Defender retaining the cult following its preceding platform gained. Gone, but not forgotten and certainly great news for those that still possess the earlier gens.

The main difference between this new Defender and the previous version... This one will depreciate in value and be affordable in four years.
