Default Defender Edition 53

In some markets the Defender Edition 53 was introduced.
No spare wheel on the back door. It's starting to get a little silly...

It's an "urban" spec kit inspired by the 1953 Series I station wagon, hence the name "Edition 53." More proof JLR is focusing less on what the Defender is all about.

All personal opinions, of course, but I think the Defender without the spare looks terrible.

Grrr. I mean, it doesn’t look like it’s sold in European or American markets, so clearly this isn’t an idea in the heads of all the major markets.

Well still think it’s not LR sanctioned as there is no press release. It’s probably made by a local distributor. Look at the photos for god sake!

Of course there is a press release. Just look at the German LR site for example.
And those are the photos from JLR for god sake!
