Default Defender Eivissa Edition

https://carbuzz.com/land-rover-in-ib...ender-eivissa/ - I'd take Sunrise before I could blink, but it looks like nobody's offering

I wonder if these colors will trickle down to other trims like Carpathian Grey, with time. Given the fact there's six of them, probably not. Pity, nice colors.

God, I love Ibiza.

Ibiza and Mallorca are some of the best places I've been to. But yeah, JLR seems to be doing more and more of these ultra limited-edition vehicles. First the Carmel Edition RR, the Park City Edition RRS, the Defender Beach Break Edition and now this.

I do like the colors and hope that LR adds more colors for the Defender. The demand is definitely there...

I sure hope they're not following the Stellantis' "value over volume" pattern. Sure this is going to yield a very lucrative margin, but it just might shift the perception towards the "useless gimmicks for the rich" end, with people that can definitely afford a decent configuration just not thinking about the Defender altogether because it looks too expensive.
And this "special edition" thing (did they steal that from Jeep as well?) - yes, I like the colors, but the configurations they come with are at odds with what I need (and I'm sure I'm not the only one choosing practicality over looks), so they exist in a different universe.

Absolutely. Not having any of the previous Defenders and not having sentimental attachments to those colors, I have to say that none of the colors in the current choice look appealing to me, I had to pick the lesser evil. Well, I hope it'll grow on me.

Historically, these ultra-limited special editions haven't been much more expensive than the standard car they are based on. The full-size Range Rovers have been significantly more expensive, like $300k+. The RRS Park City was about $20k more than a loaded Autobiography and the Beach Break Defender was priced the same as a well-equipped P300 S. I'd say this Eivissa edition will probably be the slightly more than the trim level it is based on.

Has anybody actually found any photos of the Eivissa that aren't press photos? I can't find a single one.

I could be mistaken, but I believe there is one that drives around Asheville NC. I’ve seen it numerous times, but have not been about to get behind it to check the badge. I have never seen another one that color on the road.

Thanks for the link, hadn’t heard of that edition until now. That is one sweet color. The Sunrise is stunning, also. Had they been around when I built mine, it would have made for a tough decision.

I hate the fact that LR won't make the Defenders in more cool, bright colors. I know the trend is for everything to be black, white or silver these days but man, could we get some Firehouse Red, Atomic Blue, Army Green, Proton Orange?

Pulling into the dealership lot should be like driving into a giant bag of skittles.
