Defender Guide to Alexa
Ok, I'm still partying like it's 1999. I haven't really used Alexa in any dimension of my life. I'm aware of it, but let's say - just tangentially. So, if you use Alexa with your Defender - can you give me an idea of what you do & how you do it? Specific use cases or flows would be great. I'd like to know whether it's of value to me or not worth "me being the product". Not interested in its use outside of the Defender. Not interested in all the reasons not to use it (I already have enough phobia's about data loss, privacy, yada yada yada). Mainly just interested in how it would make my Defender use, joy and love deeper. Thanks for any posts.

Excellent thread! Thanks for starting.
I set it up, asked it a few questions and tried some random commands. It seemed to work pretty well but I'm a creature of habit so I forgot about it after that.
It does feel oddly comforting though just knowing they're listening and they care.
Here's a video of how it works in a Hyundai or whatever that is. Almost all of it applies in the LR. Really good starting point.

It can do more. Add the Land Rover Remote skill to Alexa and you can ask Alexa to lock and unlock your Defender and more using your phone if you have the Alexa app. Haven’t tried everything yet, but it looks like you can do whatever the remote app can do or get whatever info the app provides (range etc), but with voice via Alexa.

Well, I played with it for a while and was whelmed. Not over-whelmed or under-whelmed, I was just whelmed. I was hoping it would control different settings/options/configurations of the Defender. All it really does is the Infotainment features of PiviPro. Handy but not mind blowing (for me). I'll keep messing with it in the hopes that I either get used to it & it provides some ease of use improvements or I have an ah-ha moment.
