Default Defender hood name letters change

Hello, I’m getting an all black x-dynamic soon. And thinking it might be too heavy. Anyone know if we can change the defender name plate/letters on the hood ourself just by getting new letters from the dealer? Thinking of changing from black to regular (silver).

I did the reverse, going from silver to black on my MY 2022 P400. Used gentle heat from a my heat gun to soften the adhesive, then used dental floss to ‘saw’ through the adhesive. Removed the remaining adhesive with alcohol, allowed to dry thoroughly and applied the new ones.

Yes, they can be changed out. Not sure if the dealer supplies anything like this but PowerfulUK has them here (check what type of silver you want). Alignment (not spacing) will be important and I believe Simon's kit has something to aid with that.

Thank you. This is helpful. Let me check and order. Think delivery timelines are approx a week from UK.

If it weren't a dealer installed option for the blacked out lettering, I'd just fully debadge the car. Looks cleaner IMO

I went from Silver to Black, than to Satin Silicon Silver.
Learned with the cardboard template from Powerful, first put it over, tape the Top, flip over.
Remove the old letttering ( low temp heatgun), flip back and tape the bottom , then apply the new lettering in the cardboard inserts.
