Default Defender Office Online

Leaving for a two month road trip soon. Last one I did I couldn't get comfortable working in the car so this time the office was born! The whole thing cost ~$30 and is super solid. For you safety people out there (appreciate yall ) the bolts are just acting as pins and can be pulled out in less than 10 seconds and then the whole thing pulls out so I don't have to ever drive with it on there.

Will probably clean it up a little and paint it but stoked for now.

Pretty cool!

The top rail and shelf below is quite versatile. Do you think you need the part above the top rail to be connected? Im wondering if there is a way to just have the "vertical fingers" extend behind the top rail, so that you can install on the fly...

Thanks! And you're right you don't need it. I was able to just add a little height to the bottom and then just pop it in and the fingers held just fine. I'm actually working with a friend who is a mechanical engineer to design something better that can fold and be stored easily and be more light weight.

Awesome, keep us posted. Seeing a table design that MUD UK did for the trunk door recently, got me thinking maybe there is a similar aluminum? hinge fold out table that can be stored out of the way.

Ya exactly. Would like for the table to be able to fold in half and then the hinges fold flat against the table as well so it's completely flat and can slide under the front seat etc. Will def post here if we get something cool going.

Thought the same thing as @rakusak . But, seriously - FANTASTIC idea. I am likely going to commit a copyright violation stealing the idea. I don't need it for the laptop platform, but love the idea of the counter space there. May make it with hinges instead of L-brackets so I can store it a bit better.

Well thought out!!
