Defender Side Ladder Removal (Lost Keys)
I have lost my keys for the genuine side ladder, I am trying to remove it without damaging it. Has anyone experienced a way of unlocking without damaging the ladder. I’ve looked online that there was a guy was able to unlock it through pulling the lock cables but I failed to do it.
any suggestions?

Couple of options. I brought my D110 second hand and had no keys.
Option 1: Go to a dealer and ask them to get you another key.
Option 2: These are Thule locks, can you see an NXXX number? If so that's the key number for the system.
I hate the side ladder, quality (see @GavinC and others posts), ruins the rear view, makes you drill out the plastic strip, so it's hard to un-mod. Due to the last fact and that I have a trophy with a wrap, I haven't removed it, but I also leave it unlocked. In fear of losing the key!

It is a pretty simple lock. I unlocked mine from new and never locked it again. No idea really why it even has a lock.
I’m not very proficient in lock picking but it’s going to be a simple job for any locksmith worth their salt. Possibly the quickest option for you.
rubbish quality product. I was once a big fan but know better now.

Two picks and you can have it unlocked in no time. I’ve never picked a lock, watched a 30 second video about picking a roof box lock and had mine unlocked in under a minute couldn’t believe it.
It’s not a Thule key lock unfortunately, no number but there is a Land Rover part number and I have some available for sale if you want one cheaper than the dealer.

Mine has no number mentioned in it, may you please share what you have for sale
Oh sorry, my bad. I was under the impression it was.
