Only reason this will exist is to compete with an AMG G 63. And for JLR to make money and possibly become profitable.

We recently test drove an X5M. Fun toy for a test drive but would become annoying as a daily driver given our clogged roads and highways. No real open space to let it run and "stretch it's legs". Step on the gas and it wants to plow through or leap over the slow car in front of you.

I would cancel my Carpathian Edition order in a heart beat for this if it ever gets to the point where JLR will actually accept an order

Accepting the order doesn't really seem to be the sticky part.

you’d think right - I can’t even get an order accepted though let alone worry about commitment after that LOL

Just talked to a JLR Sales Guy. Reports that current P400 orders are planned to arrive by Easter 2022. And if you ordered a V8, they just cancelled all orders and the dealers have to reorder for a new ETA. Not sure if true or not, but that's gotta suck if it is. From the sound of it, it's not just their supply / allotment, but everyone's.

This matches exactly what 2 local dealers told me this week.

I am not supposed to ask if this vehicle is necessary, right?

I look forward to someone on the forum buying it and reporting out ! Enjoy .....

Ha, reminds me of "these go to 11". If a V8 goes to 10, the SVR goes to 11!
