$145k for a Trophy Edition on ebay. Who would pay anywhere near that much??

Just an fyi .... I was at the dealer today and saw a Lucky8 version.

They are actually numbered ...on the right rear on the tailgate on a proper plate. "xx of 90" (or so -- don't remember the exact number, but I think it was 90).

The tropy is replacing the VW as my daily driver / overland kit. The VW is getting a new engine (TBD) and has been in CA, AZ, and NV

Great looking VW! Never seen one of those anywhere. Very cool. But yeah, you're right, I don't think that's going over the same rocks Jeeps with flat fenders and 40s are going over. or even my 37s.

One of the customers decided to remove the wrap. What do yall think?

I think the beautiful lines of the Defender are poorly served by detail-hiding black, but I know it's popular with many.
