Apparently Malmo Sweden. No offense to any Swedes here but Malmo is a dump, Denmark should blow up the bridge, and the climate warriors would like you to buy one new tire to save the planet.

Only one tire?! The red-necks where I grew up would slash all four and the spare. Definitely an amateur. Bet they didn't even cut the sidewalls. Probably just let the air out and thought "heck, that took too long - one makes a point".

 

Do these f-ing dolts think this alleviates the climate crisis one iota? If they want to protest, how about slashing the tires of commercial airliners or cutting the hoofs off of the cattle that contribute more to climate change than a modern internal combustion engine.

Probably knives are scary. And pretty illegal in Sweden.

No bad pun intended but the climate there is pretty harsh if you own one of these already. Aside from insane VAT and fuel taxes, I met a lady in Stockholm who owned a Disco and she explained this system where she has to pay a carbon tax of around $4500 US per year and the money goes directly to people who own compact cars, EV's and hybrids.

@_Allegedly - Ok, they are DEFINITELY not my kind of people then. My red-neck buddies would have gone epic on the tires. But my dentist buddy would have taught me to go into another direction. He always joked (kidding, not serious) that he handed out hard candies at Halloween because it helped business so much. In that light, if I was a Prius driver in Sweden I would be getting EVERYONE to buy a gas guzzler in hopes of getting some of that $4,500 redistribution of wealth...

 

I feel like we'd agree on a lot of things and that's all I'll say around here because I'm trying to detox from politics right now.

The EV people there get somewhere around $8000 US per YEAR if I'm remembering correctly. I don't think it lasts forever but for $666 per month (what a coincidence) they should be out washing that Defender and leaving thank you notes on it.

 

That old Defender is likely better for the planet environmentally over its lifespan than any electric vehicle.

 

People are disguising. I am sick and tired of people in this world destroying other people's property. They need to be arrested and charged instead of being coddled and comforted.
