new to the defender ! and i am trying to find some options to get my P400 90 S coilover system lifted to match the off-road height of the air suspension systems.
The coilover rides suprising well on michigan roads, but i did few it might need a little bit jump and lift when I went to off-road on sand dunes / muddy terrain.
from official land rover website specs:
the air suspension modes : access: 8.5inch / normal: 8.9 inch / off-road: 11.5 inch
the Coilover suspension: constantly at 8.9 inch.
which means it might work well without no big subframe / spacer mods to the system to have the coilover lifted to 11.5inch, if i have the proper coilover / spring ?
Front Side, the front air suspension was swapped by LR with Coilover.
Rear side, the air bag is replaced by a LR spring system to maintain ride height.
It seems if there are proper spring / coilover systems, a straightforward swap of the oem coilover is doable to achieve the extra 2- 2.5 inch lifts.
I think the 11.5 inch should be sufficient for a 90-S which normally i (like many other buyers) just daily drive it and occasionally took it to have sand dune fun!
but there are not many ready-to-swap options out there for defender coilover mods. i dont want to do subframe lift which is more expensive and feels not really that much desired for off-roading.
any ideas / suggestions would be really appreciated!!!!
