Defender X Taillights

I’ve got an X with the recalled dark / grey taillights, build date 11/20, in service date 2/21.
I took it in for some accessory parts. Asked them about taillights. Dealer says “it doesnt show up as needing the recall done” — notably when they pull service history the Defender has never been into any Land Rover dealer for service. Which makes sense.
Anyway - I didn’t argue the point.
Also / When I google the Vin number it shows that the recall is indeed still applicable to my vehicle and “recall open on this vin” but “no remedy available”.
Getting conflicting info on this from dealer.
Googling the matter shows lots of information from last summer when the recall was announced, then people saying that the dealers swapping in new taillights didn’t actually fix, then nothing informative in the last 4-5 mos.
All that to ask: What’s the current headline on the taillight recall?

Enter your VIN here: https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls. If your VIN pops up, then in fact it DOES have a recall and it HASN'T been fixed. If it does, then I suspect that the employee at the Dealership is blowing you off because it is very likely that they have no way to repair it. The parts are in fact on crazy back order. Your choices are to pull it off the road, take it to them & leave it for an undetermined amount of time; order a replacement from somewhere such as PowerfulUk & do it yourself (actually backordered there too: https://www.powerfuluk.com/vehicles/...-nas-spec.html), or - as they say - "takes your chances". Most are opting for the later.
