Default Defender X w/ gloss black trim + mudflaps (gloss vs matte)

Put the smaller LR mudflaps on my X which I couldn't find many pics of online. Had read lots about people not liking the matte finish of the flaps (and fender flares which I don't have) -- in contrast to the glossy black trims. After staring at my car with them on for awhile, I love the look. Doesn't seem mismatched at all to me.

The matte of the flaps matches the matte of the roof rack, the matte grey wheels, the little matte plastic sill that runs underneath the underside of the car, which I noticed has little jack point arrows on it btw.

So in fact I think it looks pretty put together. Gloss in some spots. Matte in others. I hadn't heard anyone articulate it in this way, but perhaps if someone else is also hesitating ... here ya go. I had a hard time finding more than a few pics of these mudflaps on an X model / a model with the painted lower trims.

I have the same setup, and I am quite pleased with the look. I think the blend fits well with the rest of the vehicle. Again personal taste is everything, and it tastes sweet!

NV - that’s my exact order on my build and I’ve been wanting to see those flaps on there. Thanks. Feel free to post more angles!
