According to their webpage, this SoCal Land Rover Dealer, located in the San Fernando Valley, seems to have plenty of Defenders......including some V8's!!!

Unfortunately, they don't remove inventory that's already reserved until the buyer drives off the lot. All the dealers around me show several in stock but they're already committed.

I drove by Encino today, they normally have plenty of models on display along Ventura Blvd... There were almost no cars - definitely no Defenders there that I could see. They also have very few loaner cars left apparently - I made an appointment for my 21K mile service with them in early July and the first opening they had was early August, since I dared requesting a loaner car. They must have sold them or something. Pathetic.

LR Encino has a ton of vehicles in the building next door. They might have more than you think.

 

All of those Defenders listed (except the first one) say "in transit", so they are not on the lot. Any V8's they may have in transit are likely sitting at a processing facility to await new taillights.
