Your posts always make me want a Summer house. Florida's great with all the beaches and water but we could use a few rocks, some real dirt, and a couple mountains.

^^ Excellent! I’ll be driving mine from Atlanta to Ouray/Silverton/Telluride with a buddy in July and August and doing Engineers and Imogene and some other off-roading.

Beaches here are a little chilly. Spring break is a little different I guess.

A real barnstormer of a day today. Most excellent in the Defender. Took my Blizzaks off last week but plenty of grip in the Wranglers nonetheless.

Spring Break Powder! Woohoo!

Ha! might be going there in summer too! by then my son will have two defenders, so we might make a trip to the san juan mountains, been there twice with the jeep, done most passes: Engineer, Cinnamon, corkscrew, imogene, ophir, black bear. I'd do them all with the Defender except black bear, actually I have no desire to ever drive black bear again, last summer jeep in front of me almost fell off the cliff (my jeep is the dark one to the left, look at the traffic coming down higher up). Luckily jeep had a winch so we tied it to a tree and using a ****** block we also used the winch from the white jeep, took us about an hour and half to recover. That spot was loose shale and it had been raining so the ground was pretty loose and the jeep kept sliding towards the abyss.
I do love that whole area, so many 14'ers to climb that are very approachable with an off road vehicle.

Oh man, that’s scary. I’m sure you saw the video of the
last year? If not, it’s about the scariest thing I’ve ever seen.

I haven’t heard of it — only been to BC 3 times, twice along the coast, and once coming in from Alberta.

But those names! You coulda put “Tanzania” at the end rather than BC and I’d have believed it.

Oh yes, I have seen that video many times. This jeep in front of me could have easily had the same fate as that red jeep. So many people were ready with their cell phones in case the jeep went over the cliff!

Default Sunday funday on the beach

A nice day for a ride and walk along the beach here in Massachusetts. Can’t wait until it warms up a bit.
