Used the winch and straps to remove this huge stump and then pulled it back!

A short detour on the way back from our trailhead this morning. First bit of snow of the season meant for some irresistible muddy root-filled tracks calling me. Always fun to engage LO-range. Overkill for sure but ATPC on the sloppy slopes is almost cheating.

Oh, I do love the Escalante! First backpacked Hurricane Wash/Coyote Gulch/40-mile there in 2001, and it has been my Intro to Canyon Country Backpacking 101 trip for at least two dozen friends since then. Beautiful picture!

Valley of the Gods, Utah.
The roads are beat to hell from all the rain a few weeks ago, but the Defender don’t care.

How do you like the ride with the 1.5" rod lift and the bigger tires? I am thinking about getting the lift and bigger tires too, but was wondering how it will affect the overall road handling?

TIA,
Tim

@Cornbeef That is one fine looking Defender. I particularly like the splat from some dead thing at the front and the naked bash plate.

Looks like a power line track without the power lines. Where be this at?

Great shots

Some fun in the slop this morning. Snow mode and giving it some welly before a real soaker of a hike with creeks in full throated roar.

This track will be for snowmobiles soon enough. Wish I had one.
