An impromptu idea to hit Tahuya Forest in Washington State with a @ADVAW8S
Some great fun was had.
I'm very envious of his 275/65 R18s at ~20psi and classic mud flaps.
My 275/55 R20 Blizzaks did the job. I did not air down of course. That would be TFL-level dumb @The Insider
Not a bad Sunday all in all.
Some very challenging terrain. Challenging for me anyway.
Adjust PSI's on the 18"ers with their lovely meaty sidewalls and E-load rating
Wade sensing, ATPC, Lo range, rear locker and the plethora of cameras were put to good use in negotiating these tight tracks.
Lots of tight and twisty, off camber sections with metal-burnished tree trunks aplenty, waiting in close quarters.
Met some great folks and even received a sign from some drivers in heavily modded rigs. I’ll not lie, that was most welcome after some pant-clenching moments earlier in the day.
Wade sensing beta version
Almost as good
Got some wheels off the ground today
The camera-tech is so useful.
This was tricky.
Steep enough to have you leaning on the seatbelt straps. Looks so tame from outside.
These were not needed. Neither were shovel nor Maxtrax. Next time maybe.
