265/70/18s... and a 4 cyl.

In comparison to offroading my 6-cyl 110, I found it to be more torquey/responsive in low range.

That's great to hear - especially since you have a 6-cyl to compare it to.

I've been eyeing the KO3s for when my Goodyear Adventures wear out, and want to go to that size for my coil sprung P300 110S. But they're significantly heavier than the "non-LT" 265/70/18s Goodyears (56.8 pounds each vs. 37). That's 80 pounds of rotating mass/unspring weight. I was worried they would feel sluggish.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

To be clear: they are E-rated and noisier than the K02s on my 110. But... I went out with 6 other fully built Land Rovers, Jeeps, etc., all who aired down. I didn't and was not worried at all about cutting a sidewall, as I did with my 20" Adventures on the 110's first trip out. So, it's a constant compromise between weight and confidence off road. I have the original set of 19" alloys/Adventures sitting in my barn and really should just spend the half-hour swapping out when I head out for adventures.

As for uumph, I don't notice a lack of power between them.

Yes. Front and rear Expedition One bumpers in addition to the rear tire carrier.

They are very happy with the result.

They bumpers look absolutely excellent in person. Fabulous quality and confer excellent protection to the corners. Something missing from the OEM bar-work.

If I was looking to put a winch and front armor on mine, Expedition One would be the way to go. No question.

Went for an overnight dinner trip and did some exploring along the way.

Found some wildlife.

Stayed in a small cabin for the night before heading home.

Only brought two eggs and of course had to break one yolk. Great trip overall.

Looking sharp! Which boxes are those? I was looking at some Front Runner ones, but have read some not so stellar reviews. Are they dust/water-proof? And your general comments on them. Thanks!

Decided to spend some time in SE Oregon and explore Jordan Valley and the Steen Mountains. 1500 miles in 3 days started in Portland and went east to Ontario and dropped down into Idaho and back into Oregon. Once again the Defender doesn't disappoint. My old 50 yr old bum wasn't even fatigued and I could've went for another few days. Slept in the back the truck after a riding my mountain bike each day.
