@ADVAW8S - Can you share the link? If you embedded it into one of the words, I missed it. Thanks.

Nah, they are still taking orders. Talked w a dealer a day ago and may be placing an order shortly. Frankly, the issues reported w Defenders scare me off more than anything else at this point. I can wait a year for a new car, no problems. I can't fathom taking a new $60K+ vehicle back to the dealer to fix multiple issues.

Thanks, @ADVAW8S . Some of it I get. Some of it continues to surprise me. The trim cleanup are all solid choices. The XS always seemed to not really be well positioned. The SE is a favored trim, so keeping it makes sense. All the flavors were too close, they should just provide some options across the trim levels. That is, of course, if they could HONOR the options! I'll just gloss over that like the rest of the world.

The stunner to me is - what's going to be smaller than the 90?? I fear we are going to have the Defender version of a Mach-E or some other lame attempt to reuse the Model brand for an entirely different vehicle. Just badge some crossover as "Defender Lite". I get the "Larger" one. Obviously that's the 130 and a venerable one at that. I think the stretch limo version of the 110 will have many fans, I'm just hoping someone mods it into a truck bed style 130. Anyway, the "smaller" one is what is a head scratcher to me. I'm going to have to start visiting some search engines.

Didn't find anything other than 2020 articles with concept drawings, but they all pointed to a 2022 launch. Gee, can't wait!

Jerry has stated earlier that he could see the Defender as its own stand-alone brand with different versions under the Defender name.

Maybe the “Defender Sport” akin to the Bronco/Bronco Sport. It probably would sell like hotcakes at least initially.

This is so unfortunate. I hope it is not permanent.

My dealer also informed me of NO I4's for the Jan allotment. This forum seems to be more on top of it than they are... I would assume no I4s for the year.

As an update, I just picked up my2022 Defender 110 Base model with air suspension and I find the power of the Turbo 4 more than enough for daily driving. It has good off-the-line acceleration and the brakes are very progressive and easy to modulate. My dealer tried to get me to not buy it as they had over 50 offers (over sticker) in one week as I was not able to pick it up right away. I think that these will continue to be in high demand and based on the dealer allocations. I think it is going to be very hard to obtain a base model. BTW the steel wheels look even better in-person IMHO. The Large Screen works well and is easy to see.
