Default Did anyone buy a LR Vehicle Service Protection Plan for their new ride?

Has anyone had any experience with these VSPs offered by LR in the USA?
The LR website offer a plan up to 7 years/ 120,000 miles, and which can also be tailored to some degree.
I had Fidelity on my 911 after the CPO ran out, and thankfully never had to use it.
Both Porsches had CPO coverage and when it came time for a repaired, the cars were covered.
Any guidance on the VSPs offered by LR?
Pricing?
I've read the windshield can be more prone to rock chips and cracking, is there a seperate rider available for windshield replacements?

I'm probably going to avoid 3rd party coverage so I'll either possibly buy a LR VSP early, ( when the buy in price is hopefully cheaper and I can always cancel and be refunded).

Thank you

I didn't. I've purchased two vehicles ('25 RR and '26 Defender). I'm thinking about the windshield offer as it seems like if they ever need to be replaced, the chinese knock-offs aren't a good idea at all and the OEM ones are bank.

I've read the same about the winshield replacement.
Have you seen prices for the windshield vsp?

For the RR with winter package it's around $4K if you go OEM installed at an authorized dealer. For the Defender idk, I presume it's a bit less.

I usually avoid purchasing extended warranties, and the JLR extended warranty doesn’t cover everything like the factory 4yr/50k warranty does.

however, I did purchase an ASC extended warranty for my Defender from my dealer. The finance manager at my dealer is a personal friend of mine, and he sold me an eight-year, 120k mile warranty that’s covers basically everything except for interior/exterior trim pieces for a little over $4500 all-in after tax. They normally sell it for about $6k. It even includes things like control arms, which isn’t usually covered in extended warranties, including the JLR warranty. My dealer (JLR Cincinnati) will sell it to anyone, but you should make sure that your local dealer is willing to work with ASC. Most dealers and independent shops work with ASC.

Good information, that gives me a start - thanks

I completed the purchase yesterday of a 72-month, 75k mile extended warranty through Highline Autos. (I had seen many posts over the years on the Rennlist Porsche forums by Highline and knew from other Porsche owners that it was a reputable source for extended warranties.) I dealt with Trenton Gibson at Highline.

The plan that I purchased is a GWC Platinum VSC that is Exclusionary. (Everything on the vehicle is covered with the exception of a short list of items that are typical consumables / wear items like spark plugs, brake pads and rotors, wiper blades, hoses, belts and the such.) All of the electronics, air suspension components, mild hybrid components are covered. The plan covers reimbursement for loaner car (up to $250 per incident), and trip interruption reimbursement. It also covers roadside assistance. GWC is a large well established company that has been in the extended warranty business for decades. I confirmed with my Land Rover dealership that they have and will work with GWC.

The total cost of my plan was $3,491. The same coverage from my Land Rover dealership was $5,900.
