Default Do any LR dealers keep Defender accessories in stock?

When I ordered my Defender last October, I also ordered rubber mats and roof cross bars which are "dealer installed accessories". I told them to order the mats and roof bars soon since they could be on backorder. Of course they didn't order them yet. My Defender arrives in a week and they are not sure how long it will take to get the mats and roof bars.

I reached out to My Rover Parts, a sponsor vendor here, to see if they had mats or roof bars and got this ridiculous reply: Freight charges would be more than the items. Those items would be local pickup only. There is no way the shipping cost from DE to MA would be more than the $263 mats and $342 roof bars.

I just had Atlantic British ship me 4 control arms for my LR4 and the total shipping cost was $55. I suspect that the UPS Ground shipping cost for a set of mats or roof bars would be about the same. I just need to find a dealer with the rubber mats & roof bars in stock.

@PaulLR I ordered the deep sided rubber mats from my local dealer and they came in quickly. The cross bars are on backorder. I ordered them from PowerfulUK and shipping to Utah only took 5 business days.

Congratulations on the new Defender. You will love it! Cheers

Default parts

another thumbs up for powerful UK. ordered a bunch of parts from them and the website is accurate and if you can purchase they have them in stock. they seem to be a bit over retail plus shipping etc etc but if you want them now you don’t have many options

i got the fender flares, pedals, black front emblem and classic mud flaps

would highly recomend them. plus they have install videos for all the parts they sell. well majoirty of them

I purchased mud flaps and the wheel arches from my dealership. I was told they did not have them in stock and had to purchase from another JLR dealer that had them in stock. When dealers purchase parts from dealers, they are suppose to overnight them to each other, this was not the case, I received my parts a week and a half later and scheduled for install 3 weeks after that, which is February 2.

wheel arches are EASY to install. You can do them yourself in under an hour. The mudflaps require drilling of some holes but aren’t rocket science either. If you are even moderately mechanically inclined, just do the install yourself

I just ordered the half cargo barrier from my Dealership. They did not have it in stock but had to buy it from Cali with 3-5 day delivery time. Like other people have stated, they are just pulling inventory from different locations.

My dealer had the spare tire cover in stock, which was a nice surprise. I wanted to get the cargo space partition net (thinking it can come in and out more easily than the fixed barriers), but it's not even the catalog yet I was told.

I’m going to be selling my roof bars when they come in about a week. PM me if interested.
