Do you use the HOLD function

My Jeep SRT had auto dimming headlights. You turned it to auto dim and then the high beams went up and down when appropriate. Novel concept!
Mild chagrin that so many settings don't work right or are complicated enough that they are not intuitive to set up.
I have spent more time clicking through menu items to cycle functions than actually trying to adjust to the blurry night vision from heated windshield.
But I am actually loving the truck and haven't even got it into the woods yet. it just is what it is.
I noticed this too. Did you note that there is a manual switch on the dash on your left side down low. I find this works 40% of the time. But if you crank it over and crank it back a few times you can usually override whatever is on the menu screen. Might be worth a try.

What I have noticed here is that it if you disable it in the settings it wont turn on with small brake pressure at a stop. However! If you press the brake hard it will always enable no matter what. At least on my car haha
I do like it like this actually because it allows me to roll but if I dont want to hold the brake I can push the pedal to the floor and it will hold.

Interested here as well. I also need to inch into a tight garage spot -- but with hold on it gets a little jerky / abrupt.
I turn off ENHANCED HILL HOLD On the Home Screen, but the Defender (P400 MHEV) still holds. Sigh. Have RTFM etc but no dice so far. I like it as a feature for driving, stop and go traffic, and esp for off-roading when climbing hills - but definitely *not* when I'm parking. I've hit my trash cans a few times because of it. I need to park about 1" from the cans (in front of the car) to have room to close the garage door behind me.
And yes I am thinking of building a new bigger garage because this is ridiculously tight!

In addition to Auto Hold, there is On Demand Hold. Easy to confuse the two.
Extract from user manual:
In my experience, the "quick firm press" doesn't have to be very firm. A lightish tap of the brakes caused the on demand hold to lock up my wheels at a car wash. Very embarrassing...
