Does Adaptive Cruise work with the AUS bull bar?
Read something in another thread that made me pause on ordering a bull bar (the Australian one from LR)... does ACC / adaptive cruise and all other functions related to it (whatever that may be) still work with the genuine LR accessory bull bar?
The metal one that's like $3500 and from Australia.

Yep. All electronics still work. The ACC comes from behind the Land Rover oval in the grill (on that bar trim) and is not obstructed. All sensors, and cameras are moved up into the bullbar. Have and can attest that all still function. Well until some random PiviPro update, but that's not the bar's fault!

Here is the mounting kit instructions: Link
And then the bull bar instructions: Link
There are no holes. The trim where they currently are fitted does not exist once the mounting kit and bull bars are installed. All that goes away and you get new bits and parts that they fit into. Most of the steps in the bull bar instructions are how to reconnect/mount all the sensors & cameras.
If you're actually going to do this, you'll also want the Workshop manual (wsm) that others have posted on this Forum for the mounting kit instructions. #4 is to remove the grill. It tells you to refer to the wsm. If it comes with adaptive cruise control, the wsm goes thru that. Then #5 is to remove the front bumper. The link above refers you to the wsm for this step too. Note: the grill comes back with the bullbars. The front bumper doesn't matter so much. It gets a LOT of "cosmetic surgery". Step 43 shows you the chunk that gets "removed" (an oscillating saw comes in VERY handy) and then a trim/edging goes over it - so no need to worry, you likely won't F' it up too much when cutting. In fact, you have to be VERY bad for it not to look good after the edging is on.

Highly recommend finding a 3rd party Land Rover service department to do it. Plan for the bar cost + ship cost = install cost. Or you can spend the entire weekend in a garage (if you're very good & well tooled) or up to 2 months (if you piddle at it like me on weekends & wind up using this as an excuse to buy more tools that you needed to begin with). If you find a 3rd party, have it all shipped to them, tell your partner that the new PiviPro update came in & it jacked your electronics (totally believable story) and you need to take it to the Dealer. Then tell them that the Dealer is way backlogged and has to order a part - while you wait for it to be done. They may be skeptical here because the Dealer NEVER takes you in that fast or gets the parts that quick. Then when you drive it back home. If any questions are asked, say that it was always there and in a disappointed voice tell them that they don't take your hobbies seriously enough to pay attention.... After 30+ years of marriage, they won't even ask any more. Trust me on this.
