Does anyone know how the Defender senses that a door has been opened? When camping, it would be great to be able to disable this.

 

Or when trying to lean out the door while backing up when needing to precisely locate your rear tire (i.e. in rocks in the desert.) For some reason, my Jeep doesn't care if the door's open when I try to move forward or backward, and I've yet to kill myself.
