Easy Question for a P400 Defender owner
While installing the winch on my P300 Defender, I came across in the instructions reference to a pusher fan, which sits in front of the primary radiator (see pdf attached).
I am wondering if this is coming with the V8 or whether it is also on the P400 vehicles. Could a P400 owner let me know if you have an added pusher fan in front of your radiator?
Thanks !

With the hood open I see a fan shroud tight to the radiator.
I can say there is some distance between the radiator and those shutters. Maybe enough room to house a small army.

Might not be so easily answered. When looking through the grill I see what looks like active shutters for air flow so I can't see what's in front of the radiator/radiator support.

Thanks for the reply. Yes that large space is apparently where the pusher fan goes --- on what I assume is the V8 model.
I am estimating that without the room for the pusher fan, the factory winch could have been housed fully within the outline of the original outer grill for the P300 and P400 versions --- and not necessitate the added winch covering kits.
I suppose this would mean the crush cans on the winch install kit would be shorter, and the pedestrian collision bar, in the the form of the U bar or the Aussie Roo Bar would not have any place to be mounted.
I do not know how this would affect the front-end collision capability of the vehicle .....
Best to you.
