Take a look at the reservoir. It's probably not low. There's a service bulletin about a loose connection for the coolant level sensor. Dealer will fix it for you.

Were you able to check the level of the coolant? If low, it is possible the heater core is cracked. This has happen to a few folks with low miles.

After inspecting the reservoir, the coolant level was indeed low…..i added coolant.

I also ran out of windshield wiper fluid within 2 months of ownership and consider myself a “light” user….

i’ll post here if there’s any updates….

Not trying to scare you but ... (a) check the oil level to see if it has increased - unlikely, but if it did, you may have a bigger issue - coolant getting into the engine block (b) if you got a 2020 this may be a known issue, and your dealer should be able to fix it.
Either way, I would visit the dealer... just my 2 cents.

is it really a bad head gasket issue on 2020 defenders?

does someone have the tsb on the coolant reservoir sensor, I want to fix it myself.

Fwiw, 3 recent Jags that we've owned have all had coolant loss issues. Cheap brittle hoses.

9500 miles on our 2020 P400 and the coolant light just started coming on intermittently. Is it normal for it to come on sometimes at start up and not others? I checked the reservoir but honestly it is difficult to see the line exactly and I had an appointment today so I just left it for the dealer to inspect. Regardless, there is no way you should have any loss of coolant. Definitely concerned.

Happened on all 3 of our last Jags but always around 35k miles. One was a head gasket and the other two were leaking hoses. The hoses are very brittle and thin.

Clean the engine and hoses with Simple Green and make sure it's rinsed out really well. Let it all dry then run the truck for a while and you should be able to see where it's spraying out.
