Enhanced engine sound de activation
#22
the fake noise is programmed into the meridian digital sound processor so it won’t go away if you use any factory source through pivi.
i had mine turned off remotely. jlractive mailed me their laptop, remotely logged in and 10 mins i was done.
if you are in the states or UK it’s an easy fix

@BruBelg So do you think that unplugging the factory Subwoofer and adding another sub and a dsp will stop the “fake engine noise” when upgrading audio?

Could you use this to your benefit? Can a body shop open a rear door and mess with the motor/ window positioning so it still closes but the motor thinks the window still has some “travel” left?
FWIW when I got my audio upgraded, the shop fully disabled the OEM subwoofer and installed a custom sub in the trunk as the solution.
I only got to enjoy the upgraded audio for 2 days until some idiot totalled the rig in the rain (!!) but that’s another story for another day.

just to be clear on my set up, I do have the DSP + SW Amp and Additional SW... (and the noise, unless the SW is unplugged...)
the original SW is still connected to the car AMP
