@BruBelg So do you think that unplugging the factory Subwoofer and adding another sub and a dsp will stop the “fake engine noise” when upgrading audio?

the fake noise is programmed into the meridian digital sound processor so it won’t go away if you use any factory source through pivi.

i had mine turned off remotely. jlractive mailed me their laptop, remotely logged in and 10 mins i was done.

if you are in the states or UK it’s an easy fix

Could you use this to your benefit? Can a body shop open a rear door and mess with the motor/ window positioning so it still closes but the motor thinks the window still has some “travel” left?

FWIW when I got my audio upgraded, the shop fully disabled the OEM subwoofer and installed a custom sub in the trunk as the solution.

I only got to enjoy the upgraded audio for 2 days until some idiot totalled the rig in the rain (!!) but that’s another story for another day.

Hello
just to be clear on my set up, I do have the DSP + SW Amp and Additional SW... (and the noise, unless the SW is unplugged...)
the original SW is still connected to the car AMP

Hi, I have a 2024 Defender that I had a new DSP, speakers and amps installed to improve on the miserable stock Meridian system. It all sounded great until I started the car and stepped on the gas. To my horror the fake engine noise was about 4X worse. It was so bad I turned off the amps until I’d learned about JLRActive who came to my rescue, sent a laptop to me and in about 10 minutes the fake engine noise was gone. JLRActive has several packages starting at $600 and topping out at $1K. On the surface this seems like allot of cash to kill the stupid fake engine noise feature, HOWEVER there’s a bunch of very cool useful stuff already programmed into the car but hidden from all but the highest dollar purchasers of the car. JLRActive turned on a bunch of features that totally transformed my car and its performance. Looking at it this way $1K is a smoking deal. Also my experience with JLRActive was 5 Star. Can’t say enough about how good this all is.

Does the P300 also have the fake engine noise or is it a “feature” limited to P400 and above?

Yes it has.
2 Multicans needs to be changed

584 PTSQ NLI change to Not fitted
585 NGPTS Q. change to Not fitted

You'll need a GAP IIDtool V4 to do this
