Thought this was a great video and thought others who haven't already seen it might also like it

 

Here's my take away. This is the best Defender off-road video I have seen. No lousy music. No idiot commentary. Just Defender doing what it was designed to do.

I have to assume these are diesels and that makes a big difference regarding reliability when fording the ocean at 40mph?

The roof racks on these things are pointless and ugly. When someone makes a basket rack let me know. I also think the Defenders look the best stock. To each his own of course, but folks who are adding wide tires and spacers are doing them an injustice.

Glad you liked it! And yes, I do agree, less is usually more on these videos.

I do tend to keep mine stock too, but I do love seeing the efforts of others more able/willing than me to make a few mods as well. I've not seen a basket rack either, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before one is available.

If it's not trophy colored or sporting blue calipers it's probably all an evil ruse.

 

I kind of thought he was going to drive along the shoreline/waterline and tow a water skier. That would be cool. If I was near that kind of water, I would have to try it. That would be a cool video. Not sure it could go fast enough unless skimming the edge, but it would still make a great video.

 

Florida boy here. Wakeboard whenever I can, have done a lot of skiing, knee boarding, wake surfing... if I can figure out how that wouldn't kill me or get me arrested at Daytona or New Smyrna, I'm in. Seems like alcohol would be the one of the main requirements.
