Default Expedition Roof Rack Loose

I have the PowerfulUK light bar and mount on the expedition roof rack of my 2023 110. Im seeing a lot of movement in the front section of the rack at highway speed. Its not readily apparent where that front section is secured to the side rails of the rack. Anyone have similar issues or a schematic of the rack?

Yep. The front section gets loosened from corrugations and bumps over time. You just need to retighten the bolts holding the front section on. Remove the front most crossbar to access two of the bolts. 10 minute repair job.

Thank you. I couldn’t see that bolt until I removed the front crossbar. Surf pads on the crossbar were helping conceal it as well.

Do you happen to know what size the torx
bolt is? Trying to tighten mine as well.

Torx T30. The one with little recess for the security nipple on the bolt.

I had one where the factory weld was not done correctly and it would make a buffeting noise at certain speeds and wind conditions. My detailer noticed it and welded it back together.

The hardware is self tapping aluminum screws. One of mine got too loose so I removed it, drilled out a 6mm hole and placed a rivnut. Better than new and a reliable fix.
