Fading Plastic
Narvik gloss has a clear coat. When clear coat oxides, it turns milky, hazy, and will look purple on black paint.
I don't have this issue but, has anyone just tried to buff off the oxidized layer? It's really easy if you have a buffer and some basic skills or a good detail person if you don't. It can't hurt if that's not the problem.

Maybe the best solution is to get one of the mobile scratch repair companies to re-spray both mirror housings.
l assume you have these companies over in the USA. They visit your home and repair minor scuffs/dents etc on your driveway.
The costs are fairly low, typically £100-200 here in the UK
That's around $120-250?

This is a gloss black issue. It’s not something 303 can solve.
The mirrors - stems and surrounds / on mine are purple. But not the black painted mirror “cap”.
Also, my layman’s analysis as to what is fading to greyish purple is not the Narvik black gloss painted pieces — it’s the black gloss plastic pieces that are * not painted *. It’s not a Narvik + clearcoat issue.

Ironically - when I showed this to my very cool dealer svc advisor earlier this year after posting about it, first I got the "I don't see the issue". But then after a bit of discussion between us... she said probably best thing to do is remove them and paint them in the paint shop. And would I be interested in that? She was worried if they replaced, the new ones would just do it in 12-18-24 mos again.
Anyway, I haven't done it yet, but seems like a good idea to me. May add to next dealer visit.

Narvik gloss plastic, from what my dealer's body shop told me, does have a clear coat. They could be wrong and/or this could be the pigment molecules being bleached or breaking up.
Either way, it's not going to stop on its own.
Going back to the reason I asked, mine was delivered with scratches on the rear trim (same plastic). I told them I would rather deal with it myself. Here's how it went.
That plastic buffs very very nicely to a perfect mirror finish so, you can try it. It might temporarily fix the issue and you could use some ceramics to stop more damage. I agree the dealer should take care of it but, sometimes, being your own warranty is just easier.

I don't know if there was a fix that was found for this, what looks to be UV damage? I have the same happening to both driver and passenger side. Also a 2020....
Looking at diagrams, its part of the main housing which would mean replacing the whole $400 mirror housing... but I want to understand if later 21-23 models also have this issue.
