Ludders can you advise how you like the ARB awning? In the photo it appears to be in an aluminum housing; I've often wondered why so many of the awnings seem to use the fabric zip-up strategy vs. an aluminum box which just looks neater, cleaner, and stronger to me.

Also, I'm preparing my order and have been thinking of mounting my side ladder on the passenger side (I don't want the lunchbox) so as to preserve roof access with a 270 awning on the driver's side (seems to make more sense with the way the rear door opens). Would love your thoughts on these questions.

To be fair, I won it in last years LRO International Photo Competion, and it’s been amazing! I’m considering adding the sides and front to it for more privacy and comfort.

I originally had a custom waterproof bag made in black to match the rest of the vehicle but didn’t like the look, so I decided to paint the aluminium shell black to match the rest and it looks much better in my opinion.

it’s quite heavy (as it’s the 2.4m x 2.4m) but very sturdy, solid and easy to set-up (and put away in the rain 🌧🤦‍♂️&#129315

 

I like that alcantara wheel, your's used a lot?

Yes sure, it’s full leather (off HSE X-Dynamic) with heating element 👍🏼
