Default Fiddling with GAP IID… now car won’t lock…

Big weekend for me, added back up lights, bumper cover/LED, grill LED strip, Mud rear door table, and started playing with GAP tool (2025 130 400)- 007, Dynamic, suspension adjustments, fog lights with high beams, global close, etc.

But now my car won’t lock. It immediately clicks back to unlocked. Sunroof shade no longer closes when I turn off ignition. Even when “ car “off” the driver’s electronic screen or PIVI screen won’t shut down shut down. Remote lock and remote start/climate don’t work either.

I’ve tried reversing GAP changes, but car still won’t lock.

The front LED is in the #4 fuse box slot.

Lots of variables I know. Any ideas?

Have you tried restoring all your settings back to the original configuration? I believe the GAP tool creates a snapshot of your settings when you first connect it.

have reset most of them, didn’t work. Going to reset all of them with saved settings when first connected (emailed myself a copy).

Maybe try a battery disconnect, let it sit for a few minutes and reconnect. If it locks, leave it locked for 15 minutes or more and then come back and unlock and see how things work.

Make sure your battery is really well charged or on a charger when making the changes with gap too.

A few more pieces of info… I’m sure battery got worked pretty hard today with all the doors opening/closing. Did not have it on charger then, but put it on charger for GAP changes. 90+ degrees here today, CTEK charger and everything else was very hot, put a fan over everything, now that it has cooled off the interior screens have turned off. Will charge over night and check in morning.

If still not working will unhook battery as suggested… no idea how but will search forum.

Very easy to disconnect battery, put the passenger seat all the way up and forward, pull back the right rear floor mat, there’s a pull tab, pull up and the false floor comes out, the battery terminal is right there you can disconnect. Do you have the ctek on the posts under the hood?

I can’t get my car to keep any cigarette outlets live to charge via a cigarette outlet.

Probably a dumb idea, but is there a chance one of your doors, rear swing door, or hood isn’t closed all the way? Sometimes it’s the simplest thing.

Default Solved

Still not right this morning.

Restore CCF. No better.

Unplug LED from fuse box. No better.

Disconnect battery. Hit metal on negative side when trying to disconnect positive. Watch the pretty sparks and admire the 1/8” deep burn spot on socket wrench. Look at black mark on hand, be happy I didn’t get shocked/burned. Reconnect battery. Car back working.

thanks for suggestions! Now will take my time and just make one change at a time with GAP.

Default Insulated wrench

Glad to hear that everything is back working properly.

I’ve been curious how to reset everything back to the original settings prior to my GAP changes. Is there a simple ‘restore’ option? If so, is there also any easy way to add all of the changes back, or do you need to reprogram each and every change again?

I bought on of these wrenches and keep it in the battery compartment. When I first looked in there, my thought was that there is a lot of potential for sparks when trying to loosen the positive terminal.

Wasn’t sure myself… started resetting settings by referring to email I sent myself of original settings when I got GAP, but then noticed the restore function. Much quicker and seemed to work well.

Once I had the spark issue I gave up on disconnecting positive terminal (no, I am not a mechanic) and negative disconnect alone was good enough.
