Default Fire Extinguisher Mount Point?

Has anyone come up with a good, accessible mount point for a fire extinguisher? I'm in a D90, but assume that accessibility is key, whether a 90 or a 110.
Having had an engine fire before, and never want to deal with the aftermath (or a dry chemical cleanup) ever again, I've been carrying a Halguard (next gen Halon) extinguisher. Yeah, that could be a completely different thread on dry chem vs CO2 vs Halon type.

I keep a 1 lb tank of propane in the elasticated storage thingy beside the third row in my 110. I don't know if the D90 has anything similar but a fire extinguisher would fit for sure. It's a solid place to hold a tank/tools. Easily reached in an emergency.

I have a fire extinguisher there. Had to use a little painters tape to limit the rattle. But it seems like the best location I’ve found.

Mine came from the dealer with a fire extinguisher mounted under the passenger seat but it is annoying and gets in the way. I assume there is a LR part for it. It is required by law here for all cars to have a fire extinguisher.

@sarek - Any way to order one of those mounts? Not living in Richmond anymore makes it hard to swing by<g>.

Made this mount for an old Drake fire extinguisher mount and some scrape metal for a 110, so it might not fit as well in a 90, but just an idea.

Just brilliant! Thanks for the idea. You now just outlined my next project. Where'd you get the bar stock or just had it on hand? What dimensions? Aluminum or steel? Thanks for the insights.

Thanks! I wish I had taken the time to make a template . I just had the (steel) bar stock laying around from another project. I think I got it from Home Depot (Specs attached).
The finished length was 10.5".
