Hi all, brand new to the forum. Last four cars were Macan S, Panamera GTS, Audi Q8 and Audi SQ7. The SQ7 I just traded in was probably the best all around vehicle I've owned. Having fun with my new Defender 110 XSE so far! It's quite a change, which is what I wanted after seven straight German cars. Look forward to being a member of the forum!
Congrats on your new Defender! I've owned many Audis and came close to buying an SQ7 but couldn't get past not having a spare tire. Having a full size spare is really nice when traveling in rural areas of Vermont and Maine...where it would have been nearly impossible to locate an oddball size SQ7 tire.

Thank you! Im familiar with your neck of the woods, I grew up on Cape Cod. The Defender seems like the perfect New England vehicle. I remember a lot of discussion on the Audi boards about the lack of a spare on SQ7.
I've been in LA for awhile and Ive had a bunch of sport SUVs. Fortunately have never needed a spare. Another huge issue people have with Audis is lack of digital tire pressures. They have TPMS but it only warns you if a tire is low, you can't check the pressures anywhere. For a racing brand it's almost inexplicable they don't have this. They truly are amazing cars though.

I came from a 2018 Audi Q5 lease into a 22 Defender 90. Q5 was the best vehicle I had owned. The Defender was quite a change of pace, fun but even though brand new oddly enough things kept going wrong with it so I bailed on it after a little over a year. Now I'm in a Passport Trailsport and no regrets other than I wish it were holding its value as well as the Defender did, but that was just a pandemic-aided thing. I was lucky to get out of it so early without taking much of a hit. Anyway good luck with yours. Hope you enjoy the LR ownership experience. I didn't regret it but learned some things.
Gorgeous spec, welcome aboard! I came from Audis too (S4 then SQ5, my V8 RS5 still in the garage). I assume the XSE trim has the 6-cylinder engine? You may want to look into getting a GAP IID tool to enable Dynamic mode. It really wakes up the engine responsiveness. May feel more like your SQ7 off the line.

I had a 2010 Q5 (first SUV I owned) and loved it. Q5 was launched in '09 so there weren't many around. Now they're like Hondas practically, they are absolutely everywhere. It's nice having something more unique, but hard to pull off around LA. I had a '15 Macan S and '19 Q8 both lemons so stuff happens with all brands. Both were first year models though which is more risky I guess. Good luck with your new Passport.
